It was my first time at the Fairlight Folk Club and I was hugely impressed with the way our band was looked after, starting with the fabulous welcoming meal at Penny's, the very professional sound engineering during the gig, and the good craic at the session afterwards. ... Fairlight Folk Club bowled us over with excellent organisation, beautiful hospitality, a first class acoustic venue with highly professional sound... and a capricious disregard for formality" ~ Señor Cabrales. |

"A biiig thankyou for Saturday night, for all the huge amount of work in setting up (and clearing up afterwards) also for feeding us and looking after us so well. It's a terrific warm (in all senses) venue & you make it a very inviting atmosphere for audience and performers alike. The best folk venue in Sydney?? Great to see a full house and no shortage of happy audience members on the night either which was a pleasant surprise given the storms and humidity. The sound was really good on the night for us on stage as well as front of house so please also pass on our thanks" ~ The Wheeze and Suck Band. |
